S. Korea filmfest to screen Iranian film


TEHRAN – ‘Long Goodbye’ by Iranian filmmaker Farzad Motamen is set to be screened at the 2015 edition of South Korea’s Busan International Film Festival.
Motamen’s 2014 production is a social drama recounting the story of a man, who has been cleared of murder charges, but the society still views him as a criminal, Press TV reported.
The 90-minute movie won the Best Actor and Best Costume Design awards of the 33rd edition of Iran’s Fajr International Film Festival.
Farzad Motamen has written and directed numerous feature-length films, including ‘Voices’, ‘Music Box’ and ‘Bright Nights.’
Busan International Film Festival is one of the most significant film festivals in Asia and the first international film festival in South Korea.
The annual event aims to introduce new films and first-time directors, especially those from Asian countries.
The 20th edition of Busan International Film Festival will be held in more than 10 different sections from October 1 to 10, 2015.
